Kar Hong has more than 30 years of working experience in IT. He is a Singaporean. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, USA. He knows Asia well having worked and lived in several countries in Asia. He is the Founder and Chief Consulting Officer of Young Technology Consulting Pte Ltd (“YoungTech”), a boutique consultancy focuses on data protection and privacy in Asia. From its Singapore base, YoungTech is expanding to other Asia countries with Thailand being the first in which a data protection competency roadmap was developed. As a technologist, Karhong particularly loves to develop and deliver courses related to Privacy by Design and Privacy Engineering in partnership with top notch universities.
