About Us
The mission of the IOPD is to define and drive the adoption of privacy design standards. We want to provide accountability and public recognition for good privacy practices.
The Institute of Operational Privacy Design
The Institute is primarily run by a five person Board of Directors. The Board seeks the input of advisors who sit across industries and roles on the best direction of the Institute. In addition, a permanent Standards Committee drafts the standards and reviews comments and suggestions. The Institute couldn’t exist with out the generous support of both Corporate Members and Individual Ambassadors.
The objectives of the IOPD are to maintain standards for privacy design and risk assessments, hold organizations accountable through the certification mechanism, and educate and evangelize the standards.
