Over the past few years there has been a tsunami of new privacy legislation driven by the EU, UK and US to address user data privacy and online harms and risks to users including children. There is a spotlight on age assurance and age verification and increasing requirements for parent consent and controls. Privacy is no longer seen just as a cost centre but as an investment in brand trust and integrity.
